One More Entry
Those two pictures I showed you last that I entered for the Pioneer Woman's contest did get chosen as finalists so yay! I wish I'd gotten one of the top spots because I would've won a gift card and hello that would be fantastic! :D I did enter one more that I thought was really fun but I think I entered it too late in the contest for people to really notice it. :)

Week 39
This week's theme is: Man vs. Nature
I was having the hardest time coming up with something, my first idea was to take a picture of this playground by the ocean we've been helping build this last week. Then I was going through some flickr groups on "levitation" photography and decided I would give it a try myself:

"No matter how much I want to hold on to Summer, Fall is coming to sweep me away..."
(I can't tell you how ridiculously hard it was to get a good shot. If I had a helper to press the button for me that would have been so awesome, instead I had to set the timer, run to the spot, try and position myself on a chair in time to make the shot. My neck was killing me when I finally gave up. Also I fell out of the chair three or four times. I looked completely ridiculous. It was pretty great.) :)
Also, I LOVE the Pioneer Woman, and I like to enter her photography contest even though I NEVER even get looked at :), this contest is an editing contest though. Where she provides the picture, and you get to edit it however you want. This is her original picture:
And here's the two edits I did on it:

I had so much fun coming up with the ideas and photoshopping, I don't often photo shop that much anymore so it was really fun to mess around with it. :)

Update
I've missed out doing my weekly project and any other photography because my computer was broken. I have to admit that its pretty devastating to think about all the pictures and videos I lost because I wasn't smart enough to back up my stuff. So people, LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE and back up your computers!! :)
Now that my computer's fixed, I'm trying to play catch up on the weekly project. I'm trying to decide if I want to do the weeks I missed or just start fresh on this week. Apparently because I didn't use my flickr account for like two weeks they locked me out of it. Sort of ridiculous, but what can I do?
I'll at least show you the one thing I've finally got to work on! :) I work in the Relief Society at church over the activities and put together this hand out that I thought turned out pretty fun!
You'd want to go to this activity right?! I know I would! haha
